Nigeria’s VP Shettima arrives in New York to participate in the UN General Assembly, representing the nation on key global issues.
Arriving in New York to represent Nigeria at the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) is Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Stanley Nkwocha, his spokesperson, released a statement stating that Shettima touched down at John F. Kennedy International Airport early on Monday morning.
Along with Nigerian ambassadors and UN representatives, the delegation that greeted him included the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar; the Minister of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy, Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani; and the Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa.

Vice President Shettima will head Nigeria’s delegation to the assembly, as instructed by President Bola Tinubu. There, he is anticipated to make Nigeria’s national statement and participate in a number of high-level talks on international issues.
His involvement demonstrates Nigeria’s dedication to multilateral cooperation and international diplomacy.
