Sheikh Ibrahim Bauchi, an Islamic scholar, urges Nigerians to quit blaming politicians for the issues, claiming that the nation’s current problems are tests from God.

The scholar, who is also Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi’s eldest son, said this on Thursday in Bauchi at a press conference to announce details for the Sept. 26 Maulud festival in 2023.

He asserted that it was useless to hold individuals or groups responsible for the problems facing the country.

We all have a duty to consider whether the difficulties or situations we encounter are the result of Almighty Allah.

“What Nigerians ought to do right now is turn back to Allah, and I am confident that things will improve as a result,”

He replied, “What is required of us is patience and prayers; we must rise up to improve things in our own ways through proper means.”

He urged religious leaders to refrain from making careless remarks that could incite violence and endanger the nation’s culture of peace.

He claimed that verbal attacks amongst religious leaders were the main source of animosity and strife.

He pleaded with Islamic academics to refrain from disparaging other people while preaching.

The great Islamic thinkers Shehu Tijani, Sheikh Ibrahim, Shehu Abdulkadir, and Shehu Dan Fodiyo are among our leaders. We must stop insulting or condemning them.

These were among the noble servants of Allah who made a significant contribution to the expansion of Islam, he continued.
