Yul Edochie, a former Nollywood actor who has become a preacher, claimed that Nigerians have been influenced by biblical stories.

Yul made this comment while criticizing Nigerians for being well-versed in biblical figures but lacking awareness of their own ancestral heritage.

According to OBASANJONEWS, Yul revealed in January 2024 that he had established his own church called ‘True Salvation Ministry’ or TSM.

In a recent Facebook post, Yul emphasized the importance for Nigerians to reconnect with their cultural identity and explore their own historical stories, rather than focusing on biblical figures such as Moses, Jacob, and the people of Israel.

We’ve been conditioned to know all about Moses, Isaac, Jacob, and the people of Israel. However, we’re unfamiliar with our own ancestors’ achievements and the remarkable individuals in our lineage.

“If you’re unsure of your identity and origins, you’ll never understand where you’re going.”
