Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for president, promised Nigerians on Tuesday that their future will be brighter if he were to win next year’s election.
He pledged to build on President Muhammadu Buhari’s foundations while establishing a government of country builders.
The previous governor of Lagos State referred to the next election as “a war not to leave the country to looters.”
To halt efforts to clean up the filth they left behind for the country, he said, APC would never give in to the opposition.
The distinguished lawmaker also pledged to put together the greatest administration team.
Tinubu should succeed President Muhammadu Buhari, according to the president.
The President continued by saying that Tinubu is competent in formulating and carrying out the progressive policies needed to develop a good government.
In addition, President Buhari praised Tinubu’s democratic credentials, vision, talent for risk-taking, and competence to handle the economy.
The President stated that “the country needs a leader like Asiwaju Bola Tinubu” while speaking at the launch of the APC presidential campaigns in Jos, the capital of Plateau State.
The candidate’s qualifications and those of his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, should be highlighted throughout the campaign, as he encouraged the party faithful to do.
President Buhari asked Nigerians to support the candidate running to be his successor while being accompanied by governors and other party officials.
The party has taken a position, and we will support and work for him to be elected president of Nigeria, the speaker declared.
Workers would vote for Tinubu because he was the most labour-friendly governor of his day and the first to adopt the minimum wage, according to former Labour leader Issa Aremu, who addressed the gathering at the Jos Township Stadium.
President Buhari and Tinubu visited the Gbong Gwon Jos, Jacob Baba, at his palace before the start of the campaign.
The previous governor of Lagos State referred to the next election as “a war not to leave the country to looters.”
He asserted that the APC will never give in to the opposition to halt efforts to purge the filth they left behind in the nation.
The president and Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the APC national chairman, presented the party flag to Tinubu, who then expanded on his platform, “Renewed Hope 2023.”
