Artist Oladips recently staged his death, and Yul Edochie, a notorious figure in Nollywood, has blamed Nigerians’ sanctimonious love and support for the deceased for the incident.

Oladips, who was earlier said to have died by his management, has reportedly come up with new proof to show that he is still alive and well, according to Obasanjo News24.

In response, Yul Edochie emphasised that he must not pass away before Nigerians could support him and asked them to keep enjoying his songs even after learning that he is still alive.

He took a hard stance against some Nigerians, accusing them of being motivated by “jealousy and envy” to celebrate the dead while abandoning the living.

Edochie posted the following on his Instagram story: “What’s up with the person that faked his death? Am I missing any trends? Is he not being posted by anyone?

Since he is still alive, no one is uploading his music online. By now, if he was really dead, una no go let people sleep. Everyone will be sharing his photo and song on social media.

“To help the deceased is a wonderful way to honour the living.” Give him your support while he’s still alive; envy and jealousy won’t let him go.”
