Authorities in India apprehend a Nigerian woman linked to one of the country’s largest drug seizures, spotlighting international drug trafficking networks.

In Bengaluru, India, authorities have arrested Roselime Oluchi Ikeoha, a 40-year-old Nigerian woman, in relation to a significant drug trafficking case.

The Anti-Narcotics unit of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) confiscated 12 kilograms of MDMA, a powerful synthetic drug, from her possession. This marks one of the largest drug seizures in Bengaluru’s history.

Police Commissioner B. Dayananda confirmed the arrest and stated that the seized drugs were valued at around ₹24 crore. Investigators disclosed that Ikeoha had been running a grocery shop in the TC Palya area for five years, which was allegedly used as a front for her drug distribution operations.

This ranks among the largest drug seizures in both Bengaluru and Karnataka.

The Narcotics Control Wing of the CCB team successfully broke up an international MDMA crystal drug network.

Dayananda stated, “They seized 12 kg of pure white and yellow MDMA, with an estimated total value of ₹24 crore.”

Dayananda added that acting on credible intelligence, CCB officials raided Ikeoha’s premises and detained her. During the raid, they also uncovered 70 SIM cards, which raised suspicions of a larger criminal network.
