Nigerian government claims banditry and insurgency are nearing their end. Learn about their new strategies and measures to restore peace.

The commitment of the Federal Government towards addressing diverse forms of insecurity across various regions in the country has been restated.

Leading a presidential delegation to Yobe State, Wale Edun – the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, gave assurance while commiserating with the government and people of the state over recent events in Mafa community.

He claimed that the visit showcased the unwavering commitment of the Federal Government to putting an end to insecurity and fostering peace as well as stability all over the country.

The Minister conveyed sincere sympathies from President Tinubu to the families affected by the Mafa assault and extended condolences to Yobe State’s inhabitants.

Malam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser who was amongst the delegation, provided reassurance that Nigeria’s battle against terrorism and banditry is approaching its end.

He lauded the military and additional security establishments for effectively curbing terrorism in the Northeast region and combating crime nationwide.

The security agencies have made significant sacrifices to protect lives and property in the country, exhibiting remarkable excellence.

The NSA stated with confidence that the assurance of complete security nationwide is merely a matter of time as we witness the initiation of the final stage.

The visit was received with gratitude by Gov. Buni who conveyed that it gave the government and people of Yobe state a feeling of inclusion.

At a very challenging time, he praised President Tinubu’s leadership provided to the country.

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), headed by Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, their national chairman, likewise traveled to Damaturu for condolence with both the government and citizens.

At this moment of heartless assault and irrational killing of innocent individuals, Ganduje mentioned that the NWC came to stand in solidarity with both the administration and inhabitants of the state.

Ganduje expressed that they belong to the Yobe family and empathize with the government and people of Yobe state, sharing in their grief amidst this tragic event. They came together to offer condolences as brothers and sisters during this difficult time.
