The Ministry of Interior will soon begin the planned audit of workers’ productivity, as announced by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, during the fifth National Productivity Summit in Abuja.
The aim is to address the low productivity levels within the civil service and develop an innovative wage system based on employee productivity.
Tunji-Ojo urged the Director General of the National Productivity Centre, Dr Nasir Raji-Mustapha, to promptly initiate the productivity audit and gap analysis for workers under his supervision.

The minister emphasized the significance of technology in enhancing productivity and highlighted the successful use of automated processes to clear a backlog of 204,000 international passports in 2023.
He stressed the importance of a hybrid approach that combines technology and human factors to achieve efficiency and productivity.
