DJ Cuppy makes history as the first Nigerian to host a youth session at the United Nations General Assembly, showcasing her global influence.
DJ Cuppy, whose real name is Florence Otedola, is a well-known disc jockey. Her father, Femi Otedola, is a millionaire from Nigeria, and she is the first Nigerian to host an opening session of the UN General Assembly.
With the topic “The Summit of the Future – Youth Actions Day,” Cuppy moderated the Youth Action Day at the UNGA in 2024.

Following her keynote speech, Cuppy also gave a musical performance.
She organized what turned out to be the biggest youth event ever held at UN Headquarters.
Among the other notables in attendance are José Maria Neves, the president of Cape Verde, and the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs.
