The Federal Government has initiated an inquiry into a widely shared video featuring ten Nigerian youths who were trafficked to Ghana for prostitution, according to Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, the Minister of Women Affairs.
It is said that three of the victims have the same parents.
Their ages range from fifteen to sixteen.
Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission at NIDO, reported that the girls were saved following a tip from the NIDO Ghana chapter.
In a similar development, Kennedy-Ohanenye forbade hotel owners from housing minors, threatening to take legal action against those found guilty.

She gave a speech on Saturday at the “Unlock Training and Grants” event in Abuja, which was organised by Abiola Arogundade, the Senior Special Assistant to the President for Technical, Vocational, and Entrepreneurship Education.
The minister stated that Nigeria needs to improve and that, as of June 20, hotels are required to post a sign from the Ministry of Women Affairs outside.
“No more lodging of underage girls and no more bullying in schools,” she emphasised.
Women in this nation are suffering. We have discussed today the importance of giving the impoverished in our nation a voice,” she continued.
Regarding the viral footage pertaining to the girls’ transfer to Ghana, she promised that proceedings will begin on Monday.
