The success of Nigerian musicians, according to Ghanaian dancehall singer Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., nicknamed Shatta Wale, has surpassed that of their countrymen.

He compared the Nigerian music industry, which he called a “Hennessy bottle,” to that of Ghana, comparing it to a “feeding bottle” instead.

This was said by Shatta Wale in his congratulations to Asake, a young Nigerian musician who recently sold out the 20,000-seat O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom.

“Nigerians [artists] are making Ghana music look like feeding bottle compared to Hennessy bottle,” he remarked on his Twitter account. Salutations to Asake Meenn!
