Nigerian artist Teni diagnosed with a critical infection

Teniola Apata, better known by her stage as Teni, is a musician who revealed in July that she was given a potentially fatal diagnosis of a throat infection.

Teni revealed this on Instagram while sharing the story of her experience with a voice infection and brief voice loss.

The singer revealed that her doctor recommended surgery in order to prevent her voice from being permanently lost in a video that is currently buzzing on social media.

“In July 2023, while I was recording ‘Tears of the Sun,’ my second album, I developed a potentially fatal throat infection.”

“My physicians told me to have a big procedure or risk permanent vocal loss after I experienced several episodes of transient voice loss. I was admitted to the hospital in September 2023 because to persistent fatigue. In five days, I had a lot of injectables.
