Nigerian and South African beef, a brotherly conflict, and a family matter: Ice Prince

Ice Prince Zamani, a well-known Nigerian rapper and performer, called the conflict between South Africans and Nigerians on social media a “family feud.”

The artist, who was born in Jos, alleged that the two countries only wanted the best for one another.

He made this claim while participating in the most recent Afrobeats Podcast episode, which is hosted by British-Nigerian media personality Adesope Olajide, alias Shopsydoo.

The rivalry between South Africans and Nigerians, according to Ice Prince, is simply brotherly love. You know how brothers tend to fight all the time in a family? That must be the case.

“We are biological brothers. Nigerians, South Africans, Ghanaians, and Kenyans all descend from the same father and mother. You are African as long as you are black. We share the same identity.

“I suppose that’s it, given how brothers are treated in the family. It’s not a serious problem. Nigerians should succeed more, say South Africans. Nigerians desire better results for South Africans. That must be it, I suppose. As long as the conflict doesn’t escalate to the point where it causes unpleasant things, we are only pushing ourselves.

“And there haven’t been any significant disputes so yet. There will never be, by the grace of God. Literally, we are the same.
