“The idea of the possible pain or trauma it might cause motivated me,” she said.

Driven by my Christian faith and beliefs, I had no hesitation in returning it. Honesty is a key virtue that I cherish, bringing peace of mind.

She mentioned that she had located the owner of the money before notifying her employer’s management.

Ogunremi mentioned that her colleagues were impressed by her gesture, and many expected such an act of kindness from her.

The management was extremely happy and proud of me, while the owner expressed profound gratitude and lavished praise on me.

“They told me that only a woman with reverence for God could have committed such an act of kindness,” she recounted.

The Nigerian-American credited her compassionate character to the moral lessons instilled by her late father, noting that “he taught us never to take what does not belong to us.”
