The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has initiated the recruitment process for its Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC33/2024), targeting qualified graduates and post-graduates to train as officers in diverse professional areas.

The registration process online will commence on October 14, 2024, and stay open until November 26, 2024.

Criteria for Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria to qualify for the Direct Short Service Commission:
Be born in Nigeria.
Meet the height requirements of 1.66 meters for men and 1.63 meters for women.
Maintain medical, physical, and psychological well-being.
Do not have any criminal convictions.
Be between 20 and 30 years old.
Medical Consultants can qualify between the ages of 25 and 40.
The NAF stressed that meeting these criteria is essential for applicants, and any failure to do so will result in disqualification.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants are required to have a minimum of a Second Class Upper Division for those with degrees or an Upper Credit for HND holders.
In addition, candidates are required to have credits in English, Mathematics, and three other subjects pertinent to their chosen course of study. Being computer literate is regarded as a beneficial advantage.
Applicants to the NAF must also have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and provide either a Discharge Certificate or a Letter of Exemption when applying.
Where applicable, registration with the appropriate professional bodies in Nigeria is required.
Aptitude tests are being scheduled, and candidates should regularly check the NAF recruitment portal for updates regarding the dates and locations.
Submitting false declarations or multiple entries will result in disqualification.
All applications must be submitted within the specified timeframe, and applicants need to print and sign all relevant documents once their application is successful.
