#NigeriaElections2023: Peter Obi establishes an early lead in Plateau
In Plateau State, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has jumped out to an early lead.
The election was calm and there was no dispute, according to Prof. Noel Wonnang, the Barkin Ladi LGA’s Returning Officer, who also announced the results.
According to Wonnang, Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the APC received 12,514 votes, while Atiku Abubakar of the PDP received 9,073 votes. Peter Obi of the Labour Party won with 32,489 votes, defeating both of them.
Moreover, in Riyom LGA, Peter Obi of the Labour Party received 15,171 votes, beating out Atiku, who received 8,181 votes, by a large margin.
As opposed to Tinubu, who received 6, 936 votes for the APC.
Peter Obi of the Labour Party came in second with 7,201 votes, while Atiku Abubakar won the Mikang LGA with 7,211 votes, outpacing Obi.
As opposed to Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the APC, who received 5,044 votes.
The three LGAs listed above were the only ones that had been declared as of the time this report was submitted.
