#NigeriaElections2023: Oshiomhole wins the Senate race by significant margin

Adams Oshiomhole of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been proclaimed the victor of the election for the Edo North Senatorial District by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Oshiomhole received 107,110 votes, according to the INEC Returning Officer Prof. Benjamin Adesina, who made the announcement on Sunday in Auchi.

Francis Alimekhena, the incumbent senator and member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), lost to him with a total of 55,344 votes.

“Adams Oshiomhole of the APC is thus announced as the winner of the election conducted on the 25th of February for Edo North Senatorial District,” Adesina said. Oshiomhole received the greatest number of votes.
