In Akwa Ibom State, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar won the general election.
In order to overcome Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who received 160,620 votes, the former vice president received 214,012 votes.
Peter Obi, the Labour Party, LP’s presidential candidate, received 132,683 votes.
On Monday afternoon, Prof. Emmanuel Adigio, the State Collation Officer, delivered the news.
Adigio serves as the Vice Chancellor of Okerenkoko, Delta State’s Nigeria Maritime University.
The election of Atiku is a significant triumph for Akwa Ibom Governor Udom Emmanuel, PCC Chairman of the PDP.
