In order to solve Nigeria’s difficulties, Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, has stated that he is more concerned with forming a government of national competence than one of national unity.
In a statement that he personally signed on Thursday in Abuja, Tinubu made this claim.
Part of the message was, “As your new president, I embrace the responsibility before me. Although a government of national unity has been discussed, my goals go beyond that. I want a national competent government.
“I won’t let factors unrelated to competence and aptitude weigh down my decision when choosing my government. Political game-playing is no longer acceptable.

“To construct a safer, more prosperous, and just Nigeria, I shall unite qualified men, women, and young people from all across Nigeria.”
The INEC announced that Tinubu has won the February 25 presidential election.
He beat Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and Peter Obi of the LP, who were both strong opponents.
Since then, INEC has issued the former governor of Lagos State with his Certificate of Return.
In a few weeks, Tinubu, who would succeed President Muhammadu Buhari as president of Nigeria, is anticipated to take the oath of office.
