The Institute of International Education (IIE) in Washington, D.C., released its latest Open Doors Report on Monday, which included data.
Notwithstanding the foreign exchange crisis, the research claims that the number of Nigerian students in the US increased by 22.2 percent in just a single year.
According to the data, the number of students from Nigeria climbed from 14,438 to 17,640 in the 2022–2023 school year.
According to the report, 1.06 million foreign students were admitted to US universities in the academic year, a 12% rise over the year before.
