Despite the economic hardship experienced by Nigerians, Portable – a controversial singer from Nigeria, believes that organizing a nationwide protest is unnecessary.

According to OBASANJONEWS24, numerous Nigerians affiliated with various organizations intend to organize a countrywide demonstration from August 1 until the10th in response to escalating living expenses during President Bola Tinubu’s reign.

Portable’s Instagram story on Thursday conveyed the message that protesting is unnecessary and suggested that those who participate in protests lack employment.

Attributing the development to laziness, the singer warned that nobody should request him to perform during protest.

If anyone asks me to perform during the protest, they will not be in my good books. Do you not have a producer? You should grab a microphone and join us in protesting as well.

“Kindly provide some money as I am working hard to earn a living. If you prioritize your work, then refrain from participating in the protest. Instead of fighting for Nigeria, focus on yourself.”

It’s not Nigeria that has a problem, it is you who are struggling. Certain locations in the country have financial resources readily available but perhaps you did not make enough effort to acquire them or failed to show dedication towards those who would have provided support.

Portable said, “You’re not making connections and you’re not working. There are people who can assist you, and there is employment available. You need to fight for yourself.”
