Nigeria is not ready to legalize arms- Seun Kuti
Seun Kuti, a Grammy-nominated singer from Nigeria, has blasted proposals to legalise firearms in the nation.
According to the Afrobeat musician, civilian gun ownership in Nigeria was still premature.

According to him, the only outcome of such a law would be the rich killing the poor at pleasure.
Kuti stated, “I don’t think our society is ripe for us to say we want to put guns in anybody’s hands,” during a recent Instagram live session with fans. First of all, it simply implies that impoverished children would be murdered everywhere. That’s the course of events.
“You poor kids, all they’re going to do is shoot you.” They will simply pull firearms on any small amount of Franca. They can purchase larger weapons than you can.
Politicians are discussing the legalisation of weapons not out of concern for your safety but rather because they hope to profit financially from the trade. Guns are not necessary for Nigerians to feel safe. Politicians can hire enough people to secure the nation if they truly care about protecting Nigerians.
