Even though she was brutally attacked by thugs in Lagos on Saturday, a woman is being praised for voting.

The event took place at a voting location in the state’s Surulere region.

Thugs broke into the location as voting was taking place for the presidential and National Assembly elections. They destroyed election materials.

They assaulted everyone who tried to challenge them, including the courageous woman, who was hurt in the head.

A social media user who claimed the incident occurred in his neighbourhood shared a video of the woman getting stitches at a clinic.

The lady is being praised for coming back to vote after the peace was restored. In just two hours, a tweet honouring her received 970,000 likes.
