Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom cast his ballot for Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP, on Saturday.
Ortom voted for Obi at his polling place in the state’s Guma LGA’s Tse-Ortom, Mzondu ward.
The governor disassociated himself from the PDP and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
At odds with Atiku and the PDP hierarchy, Ortom is one of the G5 governors.
As soon as Atiku became the PDP’s presidential candidate in 2022, the G5 group split with him.
