In response to false allegations that claimed Sector 4 Niger had left the organisation, the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) took action.
Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi, the Chief Military Public Information Officer in Ndjamena, Chad, stressed in a statement released on Sunday that Niger is still an essential component of the MNJTF and refuted any falsehoods in the remarks that lack official documentation.
The MNJTF was founded with the intention of establishing a secure and safe environment in regions impacted by the actions of other terrorist organisations including Boko Haram.

“Niger and the other member nations are essential in helping to fulfil this mandate. The statement stated, “We would like to underline that there has never been any official notification regarding Niger’s departure or exit from the MNJTF.
MNJTF urged media outlets and individuals to confirm information from reliable sources before broadcasting or disseminating it further, stating that these insinuations undermine the cooperative efforts and commitment of all member countries in their fight against terrorism and insecurity in the region.
“The MNJTF is dedicated to advancing peace, security, and stability in the area, and we stress the significance of truthful reporting to preserve public confidence in our joint endeavours,” the statement stated.
