Dr. Chris Ngige, the minister of labour and employment, has declared he will not attempt to promote any of the presidential contenders in the February election.
The four front-runners for president are Ngige’s friends, and he will neither campaign for nor against any of them, the All Progressives Congress (APC) member declared.
This was said by the minister on Wednesday when addressing journalists at his rural residence in Alor.
Instead, he told Nigerians to think about the platforms of each candidate, figure out which one was better, and vote wisely.
When further pressed on which of the candidates he thought would win the election, Ngige said he would prefer not to make a prediction and was adamant that Nigerians should be free to select the individual they believe should be their president.
