The 2024 Annual General Meeting of the Nigeria Football Federation will be held in Asaba today. All participants arrived in the Delta State capital by Thursday evening.
The NFF Annual General Meeting is the largest annual gathering of football officials and stakeholders in the country.
It serves as a crucible to exchange ideas and ultimately formulate policies, rules and regulations that will govern the management and organization of football at the national level for the coming year.
The plenary meeting will be attended by the presidents and secretaries of the 36 state football associations and the FCT, the presidents and secretaries of the Nigerian Premier Football League, Nigerian National League, Nigerian Women’s Football League, National League 1, as well as the presidents and secretaries of the Referees Association, Players Association and Coaches Association. This group forms the Congress.

Members of the Executive Committee and the NFF management will be in attendance. Past presidents and secretaries of the NFF will also be welcomed.
The Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh will be the guest of honour. Nigeria’s venerable FIFA Council Member Amaju Melvin Pinnick will also be in attendance while representatives of the West African Football Confederation (WAFU B) will also be present at the proceedings.
The Executive Governor of Delta State, Francis Obolevwori Sheriff, will open the meeting while several Delta State government chiefs and other dignitaries will attend the opening ceremony along with observers and media persons.
The venue will be the Unity Hall, Delta State Government House.
