NEWS FLASH: Makinde wins the Oyo governor’s race once more

Oyo State’s Governor Seyi Makinde has been elected to a second term in office.

On Saturday, voting took place in each of the state’s 33 local governments.

Makinde, who ran on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket, has been named the election’s victor.

Makinde, who is running for reelection, beat all other candidates, according to Professor Adebayo Bamire, the state’s returning officer, who made the announcement of the election’s results.

Makinde won with a total of 563,756 votes, according to Bamire, the vice chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University.

Senator Teslim Folarin, a candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), received 256,685 votes, according to Bamire, who made the announcement while speaking.

Adebayo Adelabu, a candidate for the Accord, received 38,357 votes in total.
