SCORENigeria has received exclusive information that the NFF technical committee is scheduled to convene on Tuesday in Abuja to deliberate on the appointment of a new coach for the Super Eagles.
Initially, the committee had shortlisted seven potential coaches for the consideration of the NFF Executive Committee in the previous month.
Among the shortlisted candidates were Finidi George and Emmanuel Amuneke, both of whom have notable experience in football.
Finidi George has recently taken charge in an interim capacity of the national team, overseeing matches against Ghana and Mali in Morocco.

Former NFF president Amaju Pinnick has expressed his support for Finidi George to take over from Jose Peseiro, whom he had assisted during the recent AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire.
Noteworthy applicants for the coaching position include Domenec Torrent, a seasoned assistant to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, and former Cameroon coach Sergio Conceicao, among more than 40 foreign coaches vying for the prestigious role.
