The Lagos-Ibadan expressway’s security architecture must be immediately restructured in order to allow for a sufficient deployment of personnel and resources to ensure the safety of lives and property. This order was issued by IGP Usman Alkali Baba.

This event came after the police commissioners in charge of the state commands in Lagos, Ogun, and Oyo gave briefings on the security situation.

According to Obasanjonews24, the new precaution was put in place to put a stop to the criminal activity of armed robbers and prowling kidnappers along the road.

This was revealed by the FPRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a statement made accessible to journalists in Abuja.

The police authority, according to the IGP in the statement, is not indifferent to the current security issues; rather, it has been preoccupied with outlining a strategy for eradicating the security problem and tactically removing the risks along the highway.

The police authority even offered the Commissioners of Police in charge of the affected states appropriate operational support with technological and tactical operational assets.

To address the present trend of crimes and criminality on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the leaders of the states’ tactical operating units were also given instructions.
