Prince Williams Oluseyi Ehinmodupin has been appointed as the new Obanla of Ipao Ekiti in the state’s Ikole Local Government Area, with the approval of the Ekiti State Government.
The clearance was one of the decisions made by the State Executive Council on Wednesday, according to Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun, the State Commissioner for Information, who announced this in Ado Ekiti.
He said that the appointment had been approved by the Ministry of Justice and that it was in accordance with the 2012 Ekiti State Chiefs Law Cap. C5 Law.
Olatunbosun continued by saying that it has been approved for the appointment to be published as a legal notice in the state gazette.
The Livestock Investigation Centre (LIC) office and student housing are located in the Agricultural Farm Buildings (Phase I) at Erinfun, which are part of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti/Afe Babalola University (ABUAD) road, according to the Commissioner.
He stated that the facility was built by the colonial administration more than 60 years ago and added that the buildings had gotten very bad due to long-term use without repairs and proper maintenance, while the staff quarters had gotten too small and needed to be remodelled to revive the founders’ original intent and vision.
According to him, the government’s approval of the facility’s renovation was based on how it might help the Biodun Oyebanji administration realise its developmental agenda, which includes infrastructure development, industrialization, human capital development, youth development, and job creation.
According to him, Phase I of the project, which should be finished in six weeks, entailed renovating the five-block housing for trainees, while Phase II would handle upgrading the housing for farm officers, stores, training facilities, and offices.
He gave the assurance that the state government would keep putting policies into action and carrying out projects that centred on the needs of the populace in order to maintain the state’s commitment to shared prosperity.
