OBASANJONEWS reports that Shehu Dikko has been named the chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC).
On Wednesday, President Bola Tinubu announced the elimination of the Ministry of Sports Development and its replacement with the NSC.
Dikko gained popularity while serving as the Chairman of the League Management Committee (LMC).
During his tenure as LMC boss, the Nigerian top-flight saw significant development.
The knowledgeable sports administrator also served as a consultant for the House of Representatives Sports Committee.
The NSC, which had been dissolved earlier, is now responsible for supervising the country’s sports policies and administration. This role was previously managed by the Federal Ministry of Sports Development.
