New legislation in Kaduna State has been approved by Governor Uba Sani.
The Provisions for the Development of Tech-Enabled Start-Ups and Other Related Matters bill, 2023, is one of the laws, according to a statement made on Monday by the governor’s chief press secretary, Muhammad Shehu Molash.
The legislation, according to the press secretary, aims to foster an environment that will facilitate government and private sector actions to expand employment possibilities, raise production standards, foster innovation, and enhance commerce in the state.
The Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, the Commissioners for Business and Innovation, Finance, Planning and Budget, and other pertinent ministries of government have also been appointed to the Kaduna State Council for Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Law to Amend the Provisions Relating to Fines and Penalties in Kaduna State Laws 2023 is one of the other legislation that was signed into law.
The law’s goal is to update Kaduna State’s numerous laws’ fines and penalties to make them more in line with recent reforms and contemporary reality.
A Law to Establish Public Health in the State and for Other Related Purposes 2023.
The goal of the law is to increase public health protection for Kaduna State residents from health hazards, prevent sickness, and work towards a healthy population. The law now includes revised penalties for breaking certain criteria in the areas of food safety, workplace health, and safety.
A Law to Establish a Social Security Scheme in the State and to Address Related Matters 2023.
“The law’s goal is to institutionalise social investment programmes by establishing a social safety net that will help combat poverty, help the needy, and guarantee that all state residents have access to efficient, high-quality healthcare at reasonable prices.” It stated
