The National Examinations Council (NECO) has clarified that there will be no extension for the closing date of the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal registration.

The registration process, which began on December 18, 2023, will officially end on June 3, 2024.

NECO emphasized that the closing date remains unchanged and any registrations made after June 3 will incur a late registration fee.

This fee will be applicable for registrations made between June 4 and June 10, 2024.

In response to rumors circulating on social media, NECO urged candidates, school principals, commandants, state ministries of education, and other stakeholders to disregard any posts claiming that the registration period has been extended until June 20, 2024.

The examinations body made it clear that the official closing date is June 3, 2024, and there will be no further extension.

Additionally, NECO announced that the 2024 SSCE Internal will commence on June 19, 2024, and conclude on July 26, 2024.

During this period, candidates will be assessed in a total of 76 subjects.

It is important for all concerned parties to take note of these dates and adhere to the official registration timeline provided by NECO.
