Ndume expressed his views during an interview on Arise TV, highlighting the challenges in securing an appointment with President Tinubu due to the shielding by his aides. He recalled the accessibility of senators and ministers to President Obasanjo during his tenure from 1999 to 2007, emphasizing the importance of engaging with the people in politics.

Ndume pointed out that reaching Tinubu is more challenging compared to the past, indicating a shift in the dynamics. As the representative of Borno south in the National Assembly, Ndume reiterated that many ministers struggle to reach the president, suggesting that some of his aides might not be serving his best interests.
