The Chairman highlighted the significant impact of the agency’s operations, including the arrest of over 50,000 drug offenders, including 46 drug barons, and the successful prosecution and conviction of over 9,000 individuals involved in illicit drug activities.
He also emphasized the seizure of over 7,561 tonnes of illicit substances, which not only disrupts the flow of illegal drugs but also deals a significant blow to the criminal networks responsible for their distribution.

Additionally, Marwa mentioned the agency’s efforts in combating illicit drug crop cultivation, resulting in the destruction of over 1,000 hectares of cannabis farms in the past three years.
He expressed gratitude to the British Government for their support and called for further strengthening of the partnership between Nigeria and the UK to continue the fight against drug-related crimes.
