Michael Ishola, 29, was charged with drug trafficking by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Tuesday at a Federal High Court in Lagos.
A two-count charge pertaining to the unlawful dealing of 500g of cannabis and 0.9 litres of codeine is being brought against the defendant.
According to Ms. N.J. Erondu, the NDLEA prosecutor, the defendant committed the offences on May 7 in the Lagos neighbourhood of Mushin.

Ishola was discovered in illegal possession of 0.9 litres of codeine and 500 grammes of cannabis, according to Erondu.
She claimed that the narcotics, which were eventually found on him, were categorised as psychotropic chemicals, much like heroin and cocaine.
The prosecutor claims that the offences violate NDLEA Act, Cap. N30, Laws of the Federation, 2004 Section 11(c) provisions.
However, there is no set date for the suspect’s arraignment.
