On Wednesday, Lauretta Onochie was proposed by President Muhammadu Buhari to serve as the Niger Delta Development Commission’s (NDDC) actual chairperson.
Onochie is President Buhari’s Special Assistant for New Media.
At the session on Wednesday, the president of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, read the nomination letters that had been delivered to the body.
In addition to Dr. Pius Odubu, the former deputy governor of Edo State, Lawan read out the names of the other fifteen members that make up the NDDC. General Charles Airhiavbere is the Executive Director, Finance.
