NCoS Reveals Why Bobrisky Was Not Placed in General Cell
The NCoS explains the real reasons behind not placing Bobrisky in a general cell. Discover the factors that influenced this decision and its implications.
The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has revealed that Idris Ogunleye, popularly known as Bobrisky, was not placed in a general cell during his time at Kirikiri Medium Security Facility due to his feminine features.
The NCoS official in charge of the facility, Michael Benson, made the announcement on Monday during a House of Representatives investigative hearing.
The hearing is part of the ongoing investigation into the alleged 15 million naira bribe paid to EFCC and NCoS officials to secure special privileges during Bobrisky’s six-month detention.

Benson explained that Bobrisky’s feminine features, including his breasts, make it unsafe to place him among the general population, which includes convicted rapists and other violent criminals.
“Bobrisky has special features, like his breasts. If we put him in general cells, you have to take his body out of the cell. We have convicted rapists and sodomites,” Benson said.
Benson explained that Bobrisky has since been transferred from a medium security correctional facility to a maximum security facility for his own safety. However, the officer said the move was made in his superior’s absence.
OBASANJONEWS reported that Bobrisky did not attend the panel discussion but has been directed by the House of Representatives to appear at a date yet to be announced by Parliament.
