To prevent any unjust treatment of defendants, the Nigerian Bar Association Citizens’ Liberties Committee (NBA-CLC) has been assigned to collaborate closely with NBA branches’ chairpersons and their human rights committees located in regions where protesters are currently facing prosecution.

To safeguard the legal rights of all defendants, the NBA’s legal team will closely monitor court proceedings to ensure that trials are carried out in strict adherence to due process.

The legal teams of the Nigerian Bar Association are actively present in courts and shall persistently oversee proceedings to guarantee the implementation of rule of law, safeguard defendants’ human rights, and deliver justice.
