Nationwide strike forces Kano to cancel secondary school qualifying exams

Exams for secondary school qualifying have been cancelled by the Kano State Ministry of Education due to the Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress’s strike action.

The tests were scheduled for Tuesday, November 14, 2023, but they have been postponed indefinitely by the Ministry.

The State Ministry of Education suspended the 2023 Secondary Schools Qualifying Examination (SSQE), which was set to take place today, Tuesday, November 14, 2023, till further notice, according to a portion of the statement.

In a statement, Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, the Ministry’s Director of Public Enlightenment, pleaded with parents and guardians to overlook whatever trouble the suspension may have caused.
