National Assembly office allocation rejected by Ndume. Read about the details and implications of his decision.
On Tuesday, the Senate Service Committee offered a new office to Ali Ndume, but he refused it. Ndume is a senator representing Borno South.
According to Ndume, the new office fails to reflect his position and status as a senior senator.
Yati Shuaibu Gawu, the Chief Confidential Secretary of the lawmaker, revealed his decision in a letter.

The letter states that the Committee’s allocation of office number 3.10 has been rejected by Distinguished Senator Mohammed All Ndume, as directed.
Offices are typically assigned according to seniority, and that is why this happens.
Only on the fourth floor will Sen Ndume, who is second in seniority after Sen Ahmad Lawan among Senators, have an office.
Ndume was removed from his position as the Senate Chief Whip prior to this development.
After Ndume accused President Bola Tinubu’s administration of being controlled by corrupt individuals solely focused on embezzling public funds, the Senate made a decision.
