Nasarawa witnesses protests following Gov. Sule’s resignation

All Progressives Congress APC backers and supporters of Governor Sule flocked to the streets to protest what they perceived as injustice committed against the governor by the Tribunal.

Remember that on Monday, October 2, 2023, the Tribunal declared that Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party was the genuine victor of the elections held on March 18; thus, the current Governor was declared to be an illegal occupant of the position of governor in the state.
APC and Sule disagreed with the decision and gave their legal team the go-ahead to file an appeal with the appellate court after rejecting the verdict.
A few party members and supporters of the governor marched in Akwanga LG carrying signs that read, among other things, “Akwanga people stand with the dissenting judgement” in favour of the governor.
