Danjuma Adamu Sankwar, the Sarkin Yakin Gabas of the Wamba Community and the Sadauna of Lenge, has strongly rebuked Prince Ibrahim, the Adon Garin Lafia, for his recent comments regarding the election tribunal’s decision to remove Abdullahi Sule, the Nasarawa State governor and a member of the All Progressives Congress, from office.
Recall that a three-person panel led by Justice Ezekiel Ajayi rendered a split decision in favour of David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Ibrahim, who disapproved of the decision, criticised the tribunal’s ruling as a miscarriage of justice and warned that if the governor is not reinstated by the appellate court, unrest will erupt in the state.
Regarding the recent election controversy and following tribunal decision, Sankwar asserted that the outcome was ultimately determined by God’s will.
Ibrahim was reminded by the traditional leader that God curses troublemakers and that both the prophet and the holy book warn against being troublemakers.
He declared, “This is a message for the Adon Garin Lafia,” in a popular video posted on his Facebook page. I’m Danjuma Adamu Sankwar, a member of the Wamba community and the Sarkin Yakin Gabas, as well as The Sadauna of Lenge.
“I want you to realise that power belongs to God, and that He distributes it as He sees fit to whoever He pleases. He doesn’t provide because you’re a Christian or a Muslim.
God wished for our votes to be returned through the tribunal today after they had been stolen.
So let me tell you, exactly like the prophet said in the holy book, cursed is he that created trouble/disturbance and God also curses a trouble maker. “Like you said, you are not searching for trouble, but you are prepared for the trouble if it comes.
So, even if there is a problem on your end, we won’t be bothered. While we looked to God, you looked to kings.
