The Nasarawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has disregarded the tribunal ruling that proclaimed Governor Abdullahi Sule of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) the victor of the March 18th gubernatorial election.
Aliyu Bello, the party’s chairman, stated at a press conference on Wednesday that the party fully supports Sule’s decision to appeal the tribunal’s decision to the Court of Appeal.
Bello stated that the tribunal had, in the party’s opinion, made a significant error in coming to its verdict.
The election tribunal erred in its judgement, in the candid and thoughtful opinion of our great party, the APC, said Bello.
In addition, he emphasised that the party agreed with the dissenting decision, pointing out that it was founded on the law, facts, and logic.
We are consequently amazed at how the tribunal reached its conclusion, he continued.
In addition, the state party chairman asked Nasarawa State residents—particularly the party’s supporters—to exercise patience and calm, promising them that Sule would tenaciously pursue the appeal through the proper channels.
