The governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, asked people to stay calm and avoid violence, rioting, and burning on Saturday, even though they were upset and hurting because they didn’t have enough money.

Sanwo-Olu made this statement while discussing the current predicament brought on by the country’s Naira redesign strategy with the media at Lagos House, Marina.

Also, he advised Lagos residents to resist the efforts of dishonest individuals who wish to plant the seeds of violence in order to deny them the opportunity to participate in the presidential and national assembly elections on February 25.
