Mr. Sunday James, the Comptroller of Immigration for the Bayelsa State Command, has warned Nigerians not to fall for moneybags’ and those with dubious wealth’s tricks to politicise the Federal Government’s new currency policy.

Sunday James claims that despite some early setbacks, the new naira notes policy is anticipated to reduce illicit currency flow, kidnapping sponsorship, highway robbery, and ill-gotten wealth.

The Comptroller of Immigration, Bayelsa State Command, Sunday James, said that the Federal Government, under President Muhammadu Buhari, had helped Nigerians in the area of a sustainable cashless regime while paying him a courtesy visit by members of the Bayelsa State Government Service Delivery agents, known as Zipline Drone Academy.

He said that President Buhari had achieved a perfect score of 100 for reducing the flow of irresponsible cash, kidnappings, highway robberies, and the gathering of bags from market women using their hard-earned money.

Nigerians must, by necessity, comprehend the relationship between national interest and national policy. The Constitution governs the Nation. Also, the nation is governed by a constitution and other laws.

“No government makes a decision without consulting the appropriate governmental arms. A unified Nigeria will have more to gain from avoiding discord and intolerance. Humans need to quit making everything political. Money bags are having a hard time getting free cash flow. The uproar is understandable. Nigerians need to learn the rationale behind the naira’s makeover.

“It is reducing numerous excesses. No more car and home burglaries or pickpocketing. That is a more positive thought than one that should be criticised or protested. Let’s learn to value national policies because they take precedence over individual choices.

As a security expert, I counsel Nigerians to provide justification for the necessity of illicit cash flows prior to a national election and for the government’s refusal to rein in excessive vote-buying, shameful money spraying, and sharing with the general public in an effort to buy off citizens’ consciences.
