Naira Marley drops 2 fresh tracks amidst ongoing Mohbad’s case
Naira Marley, the Nigerian musician also known as Afeez Fashola, recently released two new tracks titled “Wahala” and “OMO.” This marks his first official public engagement since the death of his former signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.
Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, and there have been allegations that Naira Marley and his crew assaulted him. These allegations have sparked public outrage, but Naira Marley has denied any involvement in Mohbad’s death.
As a result of the controversy, Naira Marley and Balogun Eletu, known as Sam Larry, were detained but later granted bail on November 29, 2023, with a sum of N20 million and three sureties. Additionally, Naira Marley demanded N500 million and a public apology from Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo for allegedly spreading false and defamatory information about him on her Instagram account.
He threatened to sue her if she did not meet his demand. In his letter to Iyabo, sent through his lawyer Olalekan Ojo, Naira Marley accused the actress of accusing him of engaging in spiritual and physical dealings with Mohbad, causing mental harm to him.
