Naira continues to lose ground against the dollar

The Friday exchange rate at the Investors and Exporters window was N461.75 to the USD.

Compared to the N461.40 it swapped for a dollar on Thursday, the rate reflected a further decline of 0.08 percent.

On Friday, the open indicative rate reached a high of N461.33 to the dollar.

Prior to settling at N461.75, the currency rate for the day’s trade reached a high of N462.04 to the dollar.

In the course of the day’s trade, the Naira dropped as low as N446 to the dollar.

At the official Investors and Exporters window, transactions worth a total of 67.57 million dollars were made.
