Controversial internet personality Bobrisky declares that despite warnings and regulations against naira abuse, he remains committed to spraying money at events, sparking debate over his stance.

Bobrisky, known as Idris Okuneye when not cross-dressing, has announced that he plans to keep distributing money at events despite facing a six-month jail term for damaging Nigerian currency.

Bobrisky announced that from now on, he plans to exclusively use dollars for spraying rather than Nigeria’s currency, the Naira.

In a recent interview with content creator Bae U Barbie, he revealed this information.

“I will continue to spray money, but exclusively in dollars and not naira,” he stated.

After serving a six-month sentence handed down by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos on April 12, 2024, Bobrisky made the decision to do so following his release from prison on August 5th of that same year.

When questioned about his previous conviction, Bobrisky rejected the idea of being labeled as an ex-convict and argued that he could not be sentenced for throwing money.
